Overview

Gleau is a voice-first app that helps you prepare for what is next. You hold an orb, say what is coming up, and Gleau prepares a personalized podcast for that moment. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Gleau or joining our launch list, you agree to this policy.

We try to collect as little as possible and to be plain about what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, email us at support@gleau.app.

Information we collect

Voice input and podcasts. When you hold the orb and speak, we process your audio and the text we derive from it to create your podcast. We store the podcasts you generate so you can play them back and ask questions.

Account information. If you create an account, we collect basic details such as your name and email address, and any profile information you choose to add to tailor your podcasts.

Launch list email. If you ask us to notify you when Gleau launches, we collect the email address you submit for that purpose.

Device and usage data. We collect standard technical data such as device type, app version, and basic usage events to operate and improve the app and to diagnose problems.

Gleau needs microphone access to work, since it listens when you hold the orb. You control this permission in your device settings, and we only listen while you are actively holding the orb.

How we use information

• To create the personalized podcasts you request and to power your follow-up questions.
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the app.
• To notify you when a podcast you asked for is ready, and to send you the one email you requested when Gleau launches.
• To respond to your requests and provide support.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not use your voice recordings or podcasts to send you advertising, and we do not create automated or scheduled podcasts on your behalf. Podcasts are made only when you ask for them.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited cases:

• Service providers. We use trusted vendors to run the app, including speech processing and AI providers that help turn your voice into a podcast, plus hosting and analytics. They may process your data only to provide services to us and under confidentiality obligations.
• Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or Gleau.
• Business transfers. If Gleau is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Data retention

We keep your podcasts and account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete individual podcasts in the app, and you can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time. We may retain limited information where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Your choices and rights

• Access and deletion. You can request a copy of your personal data or ask us to delete it by emailing support@gleau.app.
• Microphone. You can turn microphone access on or off in your device settings. Gleau will not function as intended without it.
• Email. You can unsubscribe from our launch list at any time using the link in the email.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to correct, restrict, or object to certain processing. We honor these rights where they apply.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your data safe.

Children

Gleau is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

International users

Gleau is operated from the United States. If you use Gleau from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries, which may have different data protection rules than your own.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of Gleau after a change means you accept the updated policy.
